The U.S. Postal Service is proposing a plan that would slash its workforce by 20% and withdraw from federal health and retirement plans.  The USPS has lost $20 billion over the last four years.

An estimated 600,000 children are on the brink of starvation in Somalia and the United Nations is desperately looking for donors to stave off more suffering.  The UN has only received 48% of the $2.5 billion it says is needed to deal with the crisis.

Site News: Layout for First Few Weeks

As Extemp Central eases into the 2011-2012 season, here is how content will be rolled out on the site for the first several weeks.  After two weeks, R&D’s will make a daily appearance and we will begin unveiling some features pieces like the pre-season top ten, some interviews with last year’s national champions, and the unveiling of this year’s National Points Race structure.  We hope to also post the tournament calendar for the Extemp TOC when it becomes available.
